I received what looks like a sms message. The icon is in the top left hand corner but it is multi-color , red , blue , green & orange. Also when it came through it had a different sound prompt than a regular message. Can some please identify?
PS: Also a while back when I upgraded OS to 4.6.0.304 (running currently) a normal sms icon appeared in the left hand corner as well after the install was completed but there was no new message after a while I’ve gotten used to it being there but is there any way to clear it?

Hey guys, I’m having a problem with my bold9000 hope someone can help,
Lately when I’m using my phone, wheather I’m browsing the web or txting and bbm’ing, pretty much while I’m doing anything on the phone, the screen will go white on me and I will be forced to pull battery out inorder to restart, and when the phone does finally reboot from a fully charged battery it would be on empty and needs to be charged again,
And it so happens my phone is now out of warranty, I recently updated the os on this phone hoping it would solve the issue but I guess it didn’t since this be like the 5th time it has happend since the update, and many times before the update,
Any ideas as to what is causing this? And how to fix the problem?
Please let me know, please and thank you,

hi i just downloaded some elecite theme from the blackberry app world, and now i can’t do anything. i tried battery pulls and when the phone restarts, i unlock it, it goes to my screen then boom everythings frozen again.
so i tried to connect my blackberry to the desktop manager and it asks me for my device password. I enter the password that i use to unlock my phone and it tells me it’s incorrect. i try various other passwords that i use for everything and it’s wrong also. I don’t know what to do right now, all i have to do is change my theme to fix this problem i believe but i can’t even navigate around since its basically frozen.
HELP PLEASE :(:(:(:(:(

When I check my email messages (Messages Icon), the Bold defaults to an Inbox entitled, "AT&T". I have to then go to Menu / View Folder / Inbox to view my Inbox entitled, "Inbox".
Is it possible to delete the "AT&T" Inbox or make the email message icon default to my "Inbox" Inbox?
In Options / General Options, I see the option to "Separate" SMS and Email Inboxes, but no option to separate Inbox from what I assume is a carrier Inbox.
Confused. :o

OK, I’ve got my 3rd Bold in a week, not upgrading to 5.0 for now. However, in Desktop Manager 6.0, when I click on the Applications button, I get the message "Loading applications from device" in red, and right under that is a link that says "View Applications" in blue. I click the link, the words flash briefly, and the same is displayed.
Ideas?
Rob

I’m on Rogers, OS 5.0.0.822 (at least what’s trying to go on there). Running the latest Desktop Manager, PC is running Windows 7 x64 Home Premium.
The issue I am facing is that my Bold will power up, load 2/3 of the way, then proceed to a white screen with a wiping status bar. It will then freeze around 35% (not always 35%, maybe 34%, sometimes upto 40%), reboot, and repeat.
Blackberry is recognized in Loader and Desktop Manager however will fail to connect to JVM because it will repeat the wiping. It does load the software (only if I catch it with the red LED and screen off). I tried 4.6.0.22 just to see if there was any difference. It froze around 10% instead.
Any suggestions? I’m completely stumped.

Hi,
The trackball of the Bold of a colleague does not work and he asked me to delete it completly befor sending in.
It is not longer acitivated, so I do not find a way to delete it via server.
Is there a way, to delete it via USB-Software or any kind of hardreset?
Sorry, I am not using Blackberry for myself, so I have know idea how to solve that.
Thanks in advance.

Hello,
I have been trying for hours and hours to get my phone to update with the new software, and it keeps saying I need 18MB of memory. I have literally deleted EVERYTHING off of the phone, reverting back to the original state. It still says I need more memory. I do not understand why this is happening.
I tried following people’s directions on this site, doing the AppLoader and stuff but it doesn’t work.
Nothing works, and I’m beyond frustrated and about to turf the damn thing out the window. I’ve erased everything I have in order to make this work because this phone has given me grief since I bought it, it’s slow and freezes all the time. I thought hey I’ll start over with a fresh upgrade and learn about how to maintain the memory and cleaning it up and stuff, but really… I’ve been at this ALL day and I can’t seem to find a solution. Please help, before I switch to an iPhone.

I recently acquired an unlock BlackBerry 9000 Bold. On the device password screen where you normally enable and disable the device password, there is red lock icon near the enable screen. How do I remove or bypass this?
